That’s a very interesting little stumble! Thanks for pointing it out. On Practice Fusion’s “Patient Fusion” website for patient reviews of doctors, some patients thought it was for personal communications with their doctor, and spilled Too Much Information. I would have to defer the question of Practice Fusion’s liability to legal experts, some of whom are quoted in the article. It would likely depend on whether Practice Fusion was deemed to do enough on the site to let people know that their information would be public, and whether it did enough to correct the problem.

My only hope, with this paperless, interactive hand-in-hand movement in the medical field is that they keep privacy a PRIORITY 1 concern! So much information being passed around by many hands is bound to leave some sticky fingers!

This is a Medical Office Management System which is internet based, includes EMR, PMR, billing, transcription. Doctors are able to communicate between practices. A physician's office is able to be paperless, run out of a laptop computer with all office functions being incorporated into the Doctations system.
